The Center of Human Rights "Fray Matias de Córdova" is the only one civil organization that day to day works in the defense of the human rights of the migrantes in the South border of Mexico. Our work daily is to walk to side of them, to support them and to give the human treatment them that in this place of mexico refuses to them by the fact of being migrantes. Being the only one institution in charge of it our work is much more dificult, but we will continue helping them.
Since 1988, our center has received funding for the realization of its activities from international agencies. Some examples include Catholic Relief Services (USA), Project Counseling Services (Guatemala), Open Society Justice Initiative (USA), Delegation of the European Commission in Mexico, United Nations Program for Development, and World Fund for Human Rights and Adveniat. Our center has also partnered with other organizations in other projects such as Without Borders I.A.P., Institute of the Southern Border, Ancifem, and currently with the Institute for Security and Democracy A.C. By the defense of the life and the dignity.
